Witch Tales (Cuentos de la Bruja)

Peru : 1h 18m : 2019 : Mike T Lyddon

10.00 : The Ballroom, Park Inn by Radisson Palace : Tickets £6.00

On Halloween night, an enchanting witch conjures up three tales of terror to thrill and delight!

Cuentos de la Bruja (Witch Tales) is the Spanish language version of the micro-budget horror anthology movie made in Peru. Directed and written for the screen by Mike Lyddon and starring acclaimed actress Mayella Lloclla as The Witch, the film is based upon 1950's pre-code horror comic books similar to Tales from the Crypt.

Lyddon writes: "Cuentos de la Bruja (Witch Tales) is a love letter to those bizarre and often insane horror comic books of the pre-code era. Similar to EC but utilizing more obscure stories from the 'off brand' competitors at the time, my film is also an homage to the amazing creativity of the writers and artists in an all-too-short era before the Comics Code Authority was imposed in 1955.  If you enjoy horror anthologies like Creepshow and Darknet, I think you will enjoy Cuentos de la Bruja."
